The Kiwi Apprentice

Close Up announced who will say the famous words your fired:

The interesting thing is, that technically your not working for them until you win the show, so you cant be fired until then:

Anyway who the hell is this guy, they wanted someone grass roots, well they got it I have never heard of the guy as such I wont be watching:

I wanted Annette Presley or Graham Hart, someone I know, and both Grass Roots, Annette grew her nobody Company from nothing, and Mr Hart use to drive tow trucks:

Silly move Producers of NZ Apprentice: The picked a Wellington based Business man:

This story has plenty more legs yet:

Perk Buster gets Busted

Known for the so called one to stop the extravagant spending of tax payers money - Lex Luther himself - Rodney Hide, has gone and done a u turn:

Earlier this year PM John Key said if Ministers wanted to take their partners on overseas trips with them they had to pay:

On speakers tours MP''s were allowed to take their partners but they had to trade down the usual business class ticket for economy:

Rodney Hide who said he had cleared things with John Key - well kinda he told JK''s Chief of Staff twice: which is kinda like asking Mum after Dad said no.

Rod went one step furthur he used his MP''s loop hole and got the 90% travel subsidy for partners:

Result he spends 25k on travel while he done a Super City fact finding mission:

Well well Mr Luther, as Bill had the Housing Scandal, I am afraid we have to done you the National Squash Rep. Travel Junket Scandal:

I feel there is more to come on this story too, and I know Labour will ask questions when PM Key gets home.

He tried to defend himself on Close Up but the Hosk got the goods on Mr Luther.

Iggy Pop stream fails

To all those face book fans who stayed home from work, or hang around facebook waiting to watch the live stream from Iggy Pop and Nine Kiwi Musicians remake one of his hits failed today:

It was a great concept, get Kiwi hopefuls to do a performance on you tube send it, and the best will do a live performance, streamed via internet to remake one of his hit singles:

Iggy Pop was a little before my time, so I dont really know what music is his: anyway thats not the point:

Orcon had a awesome Marketing opportunity here, they generated a lot of hyps and got a good response, but it failed and I dear say left alot of disappointed people:

It is an on-going thing and the video can still be watched blah blah: but I think they missed the great opportunity - Technical issues plagued the stream: Well this is Technology you'd test first, you also use systems you know that are reliable and work: And your a Technology Company, your people should have been on to that: Not a good look Orcon:

Forward is good

Well what a week, it was long weekend this week, as we celebrate Labour Day: What is that anyway? Why dont we have National Day?

Anyway I hate long weekends unless Friday is the Holiday:

The short week is rushed and not much gets done: And being this close to the end of the year, many have already switched off for the year anyway.

We had a lot of news, the big stories this week was the BNP Chair Nick Griffin been given an unfair time on the BBC Show Question Time.

And the Main story here was the Blow on your Pie Police Officer: This guy is a Legend, I remember watching that show a few years back, and for some reason, I am guessing the fact that we now have fast Internet and a Mobile force of Social Networking users have remade this guy and he is now a Kiwi Legend: A great bloke with a good sense of humor:

We are being told the recession is over and new jobs are coming up, The recession has actually only just hit me as I have only just lost my job: So if its already over then great hopefully I will get that really good job I am going for tomorrow.

The other couple of stories was JK pulled a stunner when he fronted to the Unions Conference last week, given the star treatment on day one, while Phil Gaffe had to share limelight with Green Co Leader Nobman and an angry Mallard who was chewing gum like a horse: Oh No, Mr Cunloffe must be counting the days til the next election.

Oh yeah and finally Rick Barker done some dodgy polling and PM wants to look into it: I think its OK what they done, they only issue for me is doing on Parliament grounds: If they used an Electorate Office or Party HQ - Then A OK, but they didnt thats the only issue: The fact they used fake names and a fake company is irrelevant.

BBC losing touch

It has been confirmed that British National Party Leader/Chair Nick Griffin will be invited back onto the BBC show Question Time: After more revelations have come out that last weeks show was staged, guest were hand picked and encouraged to ask robust questions and boo as much as they want:

The whole thing was a complete sham, and heads need to role: An example must be made and someone should be fired, to show swift action and that type of behavior and bullying of the worst kind wont be tolerated: PM Brown needs to look at this:

You could tell it was a complete beat up of Mr Griffin, an Angry Mid Eastern Lady from the Conservatives and a Black American woman from the British Museum??? Made sure to pull out the I hate you cause I am a FEM:

I felt really sorry for Mr Griffin, who simply stands up for what he believes in, we in New Zealand dont think about this as much as we lost our identity a long time ago, and Foreign Minority groups were running this place a long time ago:

The pathetic thing is the UK has something like 60 million people and climbing as their Immigration system is stuffed, and the government has said something around 70 million is the most they can take:

The real issue though is that this whole ordeal is really to take the heat of Ministers and MP's wroughting the system and claiming a range of illegal expenses: The Cons need to get a few more votes, and the Labs need to hold onto what little credibility they have left:

David Cameron was wrong to send a nobody angry woman on the show who come across as a nobody angry woman, one of the audience members had to ask her name:

And who the hell sends a black American angry woman from the British museum, America cant get enough of dictating the worlds future they dictate our past too.

BNP has come out on top, especially as many in the media have said this could pave the way for legal action,. which is why PM Brown needs to sort it out and sort it out fast:

So the Cons lost vote for fronting an angry woman, Labs lost cause they sent the wrong man, who couldnt defend his parties policies, and the dems lost because they were throwing cheap shots: America lost because whats a dumb black American lady talking about british history talking stupid points that we didnt need to know, I mean get a life, I can understand what he means by Aboriginal British, someone from those Islands, get with it:

I dont call people born in New Zealand whom descent from India a Native Kiwi!

You wont be forgotten Sue

Sue Bradford is packing up her office, and its actually quite a sad occasion, Sue Bradford is grat a smart, clever sharp shooter, who has seen it and been there: She comes from an old school that has real Morales and principals, she has a bottom line and she sticks to it.

Made Uber famous over the Anti Smacking bill, which in a Nation that has the highest child murders in the developed world, obviously was not warmly received and the interesting thing was she was made to look stupid:

An absolute up roar parents took to the streets and got a referendum over weather or not they should be able to lightly smack their children:

My god am I ashamed of this country, the only thing that gets them going are the All Blacks losing, light bulbs and smacking kids: The state of sending your kids onto the street to campaign that they wanted to be smacked: How many kids you know want to be smacked:

Come on parents I might take you seriously when less of you are ripping the DPB, or even if you are on their properly, just not on their at all: If you have kids, make sure you can afford the bloody things:

Surely there are much more pressing issues of the day than weather or not you can smacka kid: We are putting kids in the dryer, hanging them on the line, and beating them senseless: And they toast that they got 87% of those who voted to Yes lets lightly smack our kids: which then moved the debate to how hard you can smack you kids, and other ways you can enforce punishment:

Parents today are a dangerous breed, brought up on Oprah and Dr Phil, they want everything, and they want it now, but they dont want to pay, and if they can get it for free, or over someone else even better:

Giving your children the best or better than you had is one thing, but turning it into a selfish game is another.

Sue done well she held her head high and she fought it out with the best, she was handed a number of huge blows along with Fitzsimons, who I think its interesting as she stood down first, but Sue exits stage left first, on to bigger and better things I feel.

Ms Turei does represent a new and fresh face, Intelligence, this is a bad mix: Her cocky side kick together they know too much, say big long words and may be too sophisticated for most in a world where we wear jandals:

Sue is much more down to earth, which is why she is leaving, its not cause she didnt get her way, although partly: She just knows when enough is enough:

The greens will grow, but they will isolate the real crucial vote they need, Conservatives: Humble people with high Morales, whom dont like to be told to or looked down on: We want to hear facts but we dont want spin.

Sue may go on to Local Government ticket with Len Brown, I dont know if that will happen but I don think she would make a great councilor, and we need someone with her ideas in this new local system.

Key could prove a point, but he wont

Fran O Sullivan thinks PM John could prove a point and implement some bold changes to the tax system, but he wont: Cabinet (JK AND SJ) have already shot down any real credible ideas that have surfaced: And Treasury and IRD are at odds over what can be done:

So what will happen: Not much, we may get a land tax that may go some way to address the issues with Rental Property Barons, but probably not as much as we would all like.

She then went on blabbing about Mojo, and public opinion and coasting high on polls: Sounds like she is talking about some sleazy back room party, well I guess she is:

The thing is taxes are far too high, and the wrong people pay most of the taxes, and the money doesnt really go to develop the right things either:

It will be more than taxes that will get things going, we need a range of policies, private competition to ACC, and also some sort of social Insurance to protect us when we lose our jobs, rather than WINZ: I would much rather pay a private company to hold my funds for the time when I may lose it, rather than hang my head low and walk into my local branch of WINZ:

We need to curb Government spending, 250 Million per week is just ludicrous: what do we get for it?

And we need to start the conversation, its all very idealist to own state owned companies, but what when they start losing money and lots of it: Does the Government need to own these just because it looks good to the left?

I like a more user pays scenario, higher taxes on fuel, electricity, water, roading and the major stuff that most people use all the time: Lower taxes on food and essential items, higher taxes on luxury items:

Let people keep more of their own money and encourage them to save, invest and spend it on the right stuff: Its ok to spend and be a consumer just dont go over board.

More money to spend means more jobs, more jobs means lees people dependent on state welfare.

The public needs to play a greater role in the conversation also, the Government cant sit their and tell us how we are going to react, and they cant keep putting a stop to new methods that may work just because they think we may favour them less: I will favour them less if they dont actually do anything, or they do something that is stupid:

Do something and do something soon Mr Key, and dont do something really dumb such as tax me more, and give me some sort of benefit to compensate such as Working for Families: You may as well not have done anything to start off with, why take from my pay check only to give back to but as a benefit, I worked hard for my money thank you very much, dont make me feel stupid by giving me a benefit:

And anyway that wont work because it will cost to administer the stupid scheme, and it isnt fair anyway, the wrong people will get the most back such as families who have too many kids they cant afford, and will hurt people like me the most, ones who work, save and dont have kids:

I am yet to hear from any credible person who says this scheme works besides, a Finance Minister who has been molded by the state, and state welfare babies:

The best way is to bloody get a job, work and spend your own money how you see fit.

Speaker asks List MP's what to be called

Speaker of the House The Hon. Dr. Lock Wood Smith, asked list MP's what they want to be called or known as, stating that they cannot be called the eg: National List MP - Manukau East: As this is for a Constituent MP -

Dr Smith opened a can of worms, as a raft of stupid ideas come back from various List MP's:

I think Party List MP - Electorate: Is correct as a Constiuent MP - is Simply MP Tamaki:

List MP being the some what subtle difference:

My advice to the speaker, dont bother, as you have now discovered I hope that many of these MP's dont even take things seriously. - With a range of stupid names:

How about Useless MP - or not good enough MP to a seat: Lets just get rid of them all together, how about calling them un employed. How about toothless MP.

In Onehunga we have Sam our MP and he has an Office, just around the corner the Labour Party has an Office with three list MP's all not good enough to win a seat, or snuck in the back door on the Party list.

So what do we call them, a good start is probably their name, the interesting thing about a List MP is they know they are not quite a full MP, especially if they ran in a Electorate and were rejected. So they kinda hate the world for not accepting their ways, they are always right etc.

The good point that was raised by the herald is who do they expect to call them by these new names, as I wont:

Lower Taxes

The Tax working group is in full swing and due to release their report soon:

I was at a conference in the other weekend which I cant tell you much about but, dont expect too much from the group, already the Government has shot down many of the suggestions being tooted around in the media:

The group is looking at a land tax, capital gains tax: Although technically we already have a capital gains tax, so maybe the issue may be getting that right and ensure that it is enforced better.

A capital Gains tax that enforced or realized gains is good:

The main issue is the people who are wrorting the system with property developments:

My other concern is that hard working Kiwi's are being taxed twice, personal tax and gst: Its far too high: We need to get taxed lower, and take more control and responsibility for our own social well being:

We can look at paying for our own social insurance and health insurance for a start.

My Absence Explained

Hi Guys, I have been quite busy this week trying to find a new job, and going to job Interviews etc:

All I can see keep the job you have cause what ever they say there just are not any new jobs out there:

Before the recession there would have been probably 20 applicants for a job, now its probably twice or three times as many.

I will be working really hard over the next couple of weeks to find a new job, and to get back on track:

Blogging is a great way to express ideas, network and to fill the gap and exercise the mind a little:

Thanks Team -

ACC must be fixed

This week has been about ACC, it must be fixed, huge costs and people ripping the system are the problem:

Workers pay their way thats fine, Competition would be good to: Why should we be forced to use one provider, when we watch TV we can change the channel, we can use another telco provider: Why not a competing ACC provider, either a second tier government provider, or a private provider, or a public - private provider partnership.

The issue for me is the account that blew out, the non workers account:

And around the issue where, people are just ripping off the system, I know alot of people who have long term injuries, and just milk the system, 85% Of some of the peoples income that I know of are quite good:

Something needs to be done, I think tighter controls, maybe a more centralized Structure, is there really need for an office in every town and city, Can we just have one main Office, and a really good call centre:

Problem is we could have one office in Wellington, then how long will it be for Auckland to say well we are big we need an Office too, then Hamilton and Christchurch follow suit and your back where you started.

I dont think an office is needed most work can be done via Internet, Phone, and Doctors visits:

Maori delivered huge blow in World Cup Bid

This story still has yet to be put out, and again this week Maori were delivered a huge blow, when Big Brother, I mean the Government insist that Maori TV win the bid, but they sub contract out to both TVNZ and TV3, which was OK up to the point that Maori TV would not have exclusive rights to the opening ceremony and the All Blacks first Game against Tonga: Which then begs then why even bother all together:

If you are going to front all that money and do all the work and not get the best part of the deal, then why even bother:

Minister of Maori Affairs Pita Sharples, who fronted a Press Conference with PM John Key, said that is was not the original plan:

Maori often are the marginal partner in many aspects of Society, and this was one of a number of new approaches that Maori are taking to turn that around:

In the end it does have the required effect as the Government had to step in to ensure that their flag ship broadcaster was not left with nothing. So we must be doing something right, if we generated such a stir over this.

Ths story is far from over and the Government should not hide behind what they think is a done and dusted deal, this new structure has no imagination and dilutes the IP that the main Broadcaster would have, there is no need to have large sub contracts such as TVNZ and TV3 to be a part of this: Maori TV is a fairly new major Broadcaster that only needs support from other minor broadcasters such as Triangle TV, Prime, C4, and other smaller channels.

Having been dealt a blow by the Maori Seats on Council, the H bomb and now this. Maori Party Ministers and National Party Minister did not make the situation any better, and could have handled the whole thing better: Hopefully Ministers will go away and see what they did was wrong, and look to improve their actions and the way they handle situations in the future.

This is a commercial bid anyway and the government has no need to get involved, only if Maori TV could not deliver then maybe.

Another Mini Madoff

Recently we have been seeing all these Madoff's around the world, from Bernie, there was Stanford, our own Bryers, George Bush, Obama - Enron, Bear Sterns, Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers the list goes on:

I noticed the FBI carrying out yet another crock, a billionaire Indian. Who knows what for, but we have another crock: If we didnt have enough crocks in Government trying to take our money we have them out in the real world too:

Its just ironic though that a few days before, all the bankers in New York were Happy, with the numbers that were reported but the main bank got high volume sales were down??
Sorry I dont really follow the World News, unless its On Line:

I am going to do a blog one day about how I read the News Paper, I am not like most people or perhaps I am I only ready the first few pages of the main section, the business section and the horoscopes thats it.

Maori TV Bid to Meetings with Gangstas

Minister of Maori Affairs Pita Sharples kept things well in the limelight all week, with the fortnight long story of the Controversial Maori TV Rugby World Cup bid.

This time the Minister was in the News for having meetings with some Gangstas way back in March and didn't tell John Key, and they are gonna have a talk about it: After a terrible incident involving a young child:

Who cares that's old news, its not even credible. I wonder who was having a cry and told on him, the PM just wants to make sure he doesn't look bad, but at the same time collude along with the Minister as they both pine to make in roads into those networks. The PM knows that if he is to make a real dent on his Opponents in his struggle for P then he needs the Minister Networking with these people.

Government need to Lead not Micro Manage

Maori TV again can into the papers today with a real blow for Maori:

Talk that Maori TV may not have the Exclusive rights for the Opening Ceremony and for the All Blacks first game against Tonga:

Which are seen by many as the main tool to keep views watching the network for the series.
News come Yesterday as the Maori Party had their Annual General Meeting, the first since entering Government - Where Co Leader Pita Sharples spoke of an ambitious plan to have 18 seats by 2017:

Minister Sharples shares blame in this fiasco along with Associate Minister Te Heu Heu, along with the Senior National Cabinet Ministers: PM John Key has spoken on the behalf:

Things could have gone alot smoother: And should not have been handled in that manner:

Cabinet shouldn't need to get involved in a Commercial bid, they shouldn't need to check off a potential bid, by three different entities:

By forcing the three broadcaster to work together could be a problem for the Union: Who have previously rejected a joint TV3 and TVNZ bid, sighting Competition reasons.

The Plan I would like moving forward, Would be for Maori TV to lead, TVNZ to run Web and Mobile, and TV3 put the re runs on C4:

This would be truly dynamic and be the best use and distribution of resources: This could be a new market for C4, which would be giving a great service, it would give Maori TV the chance to really get out there and shine: And it would give TVNZ the real opportunity to show off their Web Skills, live web casting, pod casts, mobile tv and more.

Why Network Marketing is better than a Franchise

Why, because they are cheaper, they often have a well established network and proven system as the time and effort has gone into a true proven system:

Many of the systems are all online, say as long as you have a half decent computer and a reliable Internet Connection anybody can effectively be their own boss.

There are alot of scames out there but there are also alot of gems, Consulting Websites, Web Development, Blogging, Sales, Trading the list goes on:

The real issue tends to be getting the numbers to introduce your new product or service, but this is just a step in the process, and new Marketing systems and advertising mediums can help with that.

The real bonus is that Ordinary people who don't have the large capital outlay and support to buy into a business model, can compete here: There also aren't the high returns and profits they go back to the Franchise Business Owner:

Maori TV 90 % Coverage not a Major.

The World Cup Organizer Martin Snedden brought the story back into the light Today as he tried to explain where the extra losses come from for the World Cup and to tell us that we will be paying for most of it:

I think its ok its justified, and this event will bring enormous economic benefits to our shores:
The good thing is that other parts of the Country will benefit and not just Auckland.

The Interesting point that he raised, was that Maori TV dont need to worry about the fact they dont have full penetration on the Analogue Network, as Most everyone else will get coverage either through Sky, or one of the many different venues that Rugby NZ are setting up specific.

This is where Maori TV must show some leadership, they need to look at how they are going to cover the Games, they could split it to online, webcasting and mobile into one section and give this to TVNZ, they could give re runs to TV3 to cast on C4:

They should then partner with the likes of Triangle TV, or a smaller local broadcaster, once again to reinforce that grassroots level:

This would then give Maori TV a much greater spread, and it also would bring out the best in each broadcaster, TVNZ who is getting more into online content, and C4 where it would give the rugby re runs the best chance to viewers:

The Government has now said that Maori TV will win the bid and share it with TVNZ and TV3 Maori TV will have Commentary Rights.

The other Interesting point that he raised was the concept where teams would be hosted out to different towns, say Tauranga might host USA, or Dunedin Tonga: Hopefully even smaller Towns will host a team, or one of the various other support teams:

He was talking about the idea, that each town would support their team through the pool games:
I think its a great idea, and it really does help to bring the game back home to the grass roots:

Staying Positive under the Weather

I just wanted to write about how lucky I feel, I am fit, well and healthy:

And I am about to start a New Job, a new career a new path: It was very hard to find a job after losing one, and I am lucky that I applied for this position:

Even though it is just Commission based, a base Salary may come in, I already have other ideas that can help to grow my business, such as using a blog and network marketing tools such as my space and facebook.

I have a lot riding on my sucess in this job and very quickly too: I am motivated and up for the challenge and I intend to give it my best to achieve that goal.

Minister Should be Afraid

Maori Affairs Minister Pita Shaprles, should be afraid at the stsate of the Rugby World Cup bid and what this War has become:

This has quickly escalated to a Proxy War that called for the PM to quash: After Senior Ministers planned to bank roll and form a coalition of the willing:

Although if Maori TV do win the bid: So long as they can full fill the obligations of the PM which is 100% Coverage on the Analogue Network to all of New Zealand:

So although the Government has signaled that now it would prefer Maori TV to win the bid, and to then off set the best bits to TVNZ and then TV3:

But we are still un clear on the commentary rights and other minor issues:

The Rugby boad has turned away bids where they are a combination of mall major broadcasters, namely a TV3 and TVNZ bid where the board sighted the reasons being, that the major market players were using their market share, so they were not trying to out bid each other, and not taking into account the real price of the rights:

They just wanted to bid agaisnt each other and they should they do compete and they can.

The main point to this though is why he really should be scared is that this plan lacks vision and any real sense of direction:

To be honest TVNZ want to use this as a cheap way to get the rights, in effect they will use Government pressure to force Maori TV to feel as though they must share with them: They will then want to use there own streams and voice overs - not on:

If the Rugby Board had any sense they would think about this, they need to wonder what image and brand they want to represent going forward, they need to understand where they are and why they are there, and it has been the previous government policy and intervention and poor coverage from TVNZ.

A new vibrant and Innovative Rugby Board, Web Development, Interaction will play a vital role in this bid, and Maori TV with its approach, backing and resources, and if they do networks with a more down to earth grass roots brand this will be better for the sport in the long run:

TVNZ have had there days covering our Nation in all forms, they need to start to learn where their battles are best not fought, they need to find their new market, which is new contents, interactive and website:

TVNZ lost the battle with Sport a long time ago when SKY moved in, and now with so many Free to Air broadcasters large and small, and the global economy TVNZ has to be realistic, there are just some markets they cant do so they shouldnt and they dont need to worry about it.

New Ventures

So I had a Job Interview today for a Commission Only Sales Job, I got the Job and I start on Monday:

I will keep some what of a blog to document my progress as I go through:

The point I want to raise is, Not many people are very attracted by a Comission Only job, everyone wants a Salary, fair enough:

I sent many emails along with this one, and I haven't heard for an Interview from any other job, except for another Job with Green Peace which I had no chance in getting, but that's another blog.
Anyway, when my Boss contacted me about this role, he seemed very keen to take me on, more and more into it and seemed very keen: I went to the Interview quite confident I would get the Job: And even after a rough start I got the Job:

In this very tough market where there isn't a lot around I took this Job even though I have no idea if I will get any sales: But I have to try I would much rather be trying to sell something and make some money, then wait for a job, or go on the dole:

Its better to try and make money even if you don't right away: Then to just sit at home and not get anything at all.

This has given me a real opportunity to test myself and my skills: And to really take an Interest in myself and to make a real investment in my future.

Governments Desperate Attempt for TVNZ Bid

The latest news on this story is quite interesting, the Government deciding to back off a bit, is a 180 I suspect they looked at the reality and realized their Man couldnt win.

So they threw the last spanner into the works, they have a preferred option, which is for Maori TV to win the bid, and to share the coverage with TVNZ and TV3 - How this is going to work is anyone's guess: Some of the issues around this is could there be restricted to access to only towns Maori TV doesn't cover: Right down to Commentary, effectively TVNZ would wan tto have their own people: As well as perhaps the Video being done by Maori TV - Who will also do their own commentary, so having duplicate systems is un necessary.

The best option would be for Maori TV to win the bid, and for them to team up with either TV3 and CV4 Only, or perhaps another Company such as Triangle or even Sky Prime:

Using the later Companies would capture the Grass Roots community, something the Rugby Union has been losing.

A deal with TV3 and C4 could see re-runs and delayed coverage being shown on C4.

Maori TV are able to offer a full package and a deal with TV3 or say Triangle can add value to that package: Maori TV will bring culture and heritage, history and flavour:

They have a package that can incorporate and bring into the mix a wide range of ideas, concepts and people. This more interesting approach should be the focus of the Rugby board making the decision, they will want ot choose a supplier whom is able to offer something new and innovative to this spectacular event:

John Key and the National led Government have realized that their so called coalition of the willing from TVNZ and TV3 lacks the real vision and energy to deliver something of similar standard.

Maori TV has options and a wide range of avenues and the Government and TVNZ need to understand that times have changed and people have moved on and it is no place for the government or sneaky deals to rule our choices.

This issue is another major blow for a Conservative Government - Many Maori will view this as another blow against Maoridom, and many will be some what questioning of John Key and the way he has handled this situation especially in terms with respect to trying to launch new Drug Policy:

Senior National Ministers and the Maori Affairs Minister who brushed off as being new, and we fallah still new here: Is definitely not good enough, and it doesn't take much explaining to work out that both Pita Sharples and Georgina Te Heu Heu bot knowingly with held vital information that should have been made available to Senior Ministers very early on: And brought to their attention.

Another Blow for Maori

The most recent goings ons around the TVNZ Maori TV Rugby World Cup bid is appaling and is another Blow for Maoridom:
From Seats on Local Council, the H-Bomb in Whanganui, to the rugby world cup bid:

This is getting tired and Maori wont stand for this constant pandering and blocking of Maori Enterprise trying to get ahead:

Why are State Broadcasters who each get state funding competing for a bid to this extent:

Surely TVNZ could have seen they simply could not compete and have largely gone down a different track in terms of its own content and they dont really need to putting their resources here anymore:

We have Channel 3, Prime, SKY and Now Maori TV - whom all with their audiences and they style they deliver and type of content they deliver, these broadcasters are now better suited to be delivering this type of coverage that is the rugby world cup and not TVNZ - back in the days TVNZ would have been the obvious choice, but today with Digital Communications, Internet and a more diverse and Innovative viewer, what was clear cut is now not so.

Maori TV have indicated that they may raise bids, and have expressed support from wealthy Iwi and many large Corporations who may give funding assistance to support the Maori TV lead bid.

The reasons for the srong opposition is sad, and a real blow for Maori who will take this personally, it just looks like the Government is scared a tier 2 state broadcaster might win, so they are doing something to counter and try and stop it:

For stupid Ideological reasons its wrong:

More to come on this story:

Selfish Government Screws TVNZ bid

A selfish Government living deep in the past, is greatly lacking the so called vision it speaks of as more details come to light over the TVNZ Maori TV Rugby World Cup bid.

The so called Innovative bid as described by TVNZ will see the State Broadcaster team up with TV3 to more or less have two chanels giving huge coverage to the game, oh yeah and if and only if Maori TV wants to play they will be able to stream the coverage from those two broadcasters:

Hell No TVNZ: Who would be so stupid to let you Cow Boys come in Legislation Guns and Minister Bazookas swinging I dont think so: Why would Maori TV want to regurgitate the scraps that TV3 didnt even want:

This is War:

From Maori Seats on Council, to an H in Whanganui to the Rugby World Cup Broadcast rights:

This is getting tired and pathetic:

The week where the main story should have been John Key tackles P - it was shadowed by this story for well over a week, making the papers everyday:

The Best JK and his P Addiction could get was a very small section next to the Maori TV story about how the main ingredient of P can help someone who has overdosed on Viagra:

This P Story is fast going no-where.

The government is acting like a spoiled little child trying to get its way: Talking about Maori TV cant get 100% coverage, to well we are scared they wont be able to generate enough "HYPE"to get people to the games:

This is just stupid:

Sort it out.

I just hope the Rugby Board can see Innovation when they see, and can work with Maori TV and its supporters to deliver a top service:

This will be a testing time for the Government and TVNZ - I told you this story has much more to come.

TVNZ reignites Rugby World Cup bid.

TVNZ has reignited the debate over the Rugby World Cup Broadcast rights, by sending a counter proposal back that is said by a TVNZ spokesperson to be Innovative:

TVNZ who is cash poor, is un certain where, or if any new money has come from:

This new revelation comes after, Maori TV changed its bid after it was discovered for the first time by the PM the other week and said Maori TV must have 100% coverage:

They then changed their bid and allowed for them to sub let parts of the coverage rights to another broadcaster probably TVNZ:

I think that they think they may not get to even be part of a sub letting contract and so the Flag ship Rugby Channel has decided that they need to put forward a better case or be prey to Maori TV who are serious about this bid.

Follow up After Work Start Meeting

Well the Work Start meeting went well, WINZ have a range of new systems that are aimed to help get people into work, and thinking about getting back into work before looking at other options such as a benefit.

The Managers were nice, one was a bit Arrogant:

The funny part was first they Guy trying to hustle and talk a load of crap to a Case Manager, talking about some bogus courses, and not looking the part:

The others in my group were quiet, also not looking the part in my view, and one had a typical attitude, has been to many of these meetings, like me - although I have never got a benefit in the past few years any way, and only for a very short time.

Anyway, the new systems is quite good and I am very confident in getting the help and support to get back into paid employment quickly.

NZ Bus must Fix Mess or Go

NZ Bus must lower its Driver Lock Out, and resume Operations ASAP:

It must come to a swift arrangement with the drivers and get them back on the road ASAP:

Because why the hell do we have buses and a public Transport system if its locked up: Its kind of a real childish way of dealing with the situtaion:

Thank god for Mike Lee - who said yesterday that he was thinking of tearing up the contract, and today said they have 5 days to sort it out or the Authority will move to terminate the contract.

NZ Bus then said if they can meet with the drivers and come to an agreement then the ban could be lifted by 10.00am with full service on Wednesday.

The Regional Council needs to take that seriously if full service is not back by tomorrow, then they need to take a serious look at getting rid of NZ Bus: Why do we need to pay for Snior Managers, we need drivers not Managers:

I need a well paid and cared for driver who is driving a worthy and safe vehicle, I need to know that although low paid those drivers are happy and looked after, I dont need to know that Zane Fuljames is collecting 120k pa plus bonuses:

The way this company has acted and its treatment of its core staff is a disgrace, without those Drivers the Managers have no job. A balance needs to start to occur between operations staff and Management so that real negotiations can happen.

Both the Drivers and the Public lose here, and we are bullied into and forced to take this:

In my radical world NZ Bus would be down the road, and the region would be better off, The Transport Authority would run the Operations and we would save as we would cut all the fat that is high paid low worked Senior Managers.

Why a Meeting at WINZ is OK

Yes I have a Meeting this Morning at WINZ, but its OK:

First its a stupid ASS meeting I have done a couple of times before, where you hear the same old stuff: Blah Blah Blah:

The we get to speak to a Work Broker, so a look at suitable roles they have, so I am sure I can do something:?

The worst part is I hope that I get a job so that they dont see how much money I got so that they can Rax me even more.

I got Kiwi Saver too, so I am not worried: But I do really really want to get another job real fast.

I think there can be a lot of opportunity in moving forward, and there can be alot of options open so exploring those and being Conservative will be the best path.

Mike Lee Might Tear up Contract

Mike Lee thought about tearing up the contract that Auckland Regional Holdings has with NZ Bus owned by Monster Conglomerate Infratil.

Tear away Mike Lee:

I have a couple of appointments that will require the use of the fine public bus service: One a Breakfast with the Reserve Bank Governor, the other Lunch with John Key - I probably also have to slot in a day this week for a job Interview, so that is 3 Occasions where I will be using Public Transport:

Wednesday is the latest: The Front line News better be Buses going, or by the next day or else:

We will sit on our hands come elections:

This is but three small times where I will use the bus system, but just imagine everyone else, the absolute horror: It was almost Erry and felt like a Sunday Afternoon all day today with no Bus System.

The worst thing for Auckland, not having confidence in a Bus System:

Does the Company own too many bus companies, it took a huge chunk the whole of Auckland City no buses!!

Howick and Eastern are often already busy, so just imagine the extra load, Urban Express is another fine Company, both these Companies fine Examples of well Managed Transport Companies: Howick and Eastern whom is owned by Mana Transport Expert Moving Company: Also recently purchased Fullers Transport:

Urban Express is owned by Pavlovich Transport another really good Transport Company.

John Key Tackling P

This week the PM announced, his clamp down on the drug Pure Methamphetamine or P:

Dubbed "Tackling P":

It will ban the over the counter sale of cough medicine, unless via Doctor Prescription:
It also gives Police and Customs a boost in resources and a range of tools to combat this problem.

The new measures which were unveiled by the PM were actually quite good, it tackles the issue from a range of issues, from clamping out the illegal purchases to the importation of the drug:

All very good, other issues to sort out are the influence and ability of the gangs to change and adapt and create new economies:

How International shipping laws may influence and also the use of off shore shipping companies and International Banking Systems:

Stunting the flow of supply can also increase the price of the drug.

I think the biggest problem over the whole thing is that this was launched during the coverage of the Missing Girl Aisling Symes from Henderson and teh coverage over the Maori TV debate, which has kinda taken the spotlight: And almost shown that if the PM was going to take such an interest in a non story, than will he or is he taking this serious.

So the story has been around all work and gotten no where, with the only real legs it got were from Paul Holmes in his Sunday Column.

Please Return Aisling Symes

After a week of your young 2 year old child I cant even begin to imagine how those parents must be feeling, especially the mother whom Aisling was in her care:

In the Herald today the way they described the events it seemed all very much a split second after looking up a couple of times to check and the young girl was there, then again and gone:

The bit I find very interesting is the Sighting of a Middle Aged Asian Woman say 30, wearing black clothing, 3/4 jeans, and top:

Was seen talking to the young ones earlier? Also the girls were playing around the creek and there were ducks:

Now the two options are she feel in the creek following the ducks and washed down stream - which was ruled out very quickly and said no:

Although she has been known to test this creek?
It was raining that day so any current would be stronger than normal.

So the likely Assumption from the Police is an Opportunistic Abduction:

I am guessing with something to do with the Asian Woman who was said to have been talking to the girls while walking her Dog:

Serious efforts need to be made to locate this Woman either she comes forward or find her:
They did say that a Language Barrier may prevent this but I dont think so, if they havent been able to get a response from the very good description of that person to come forward then this is suspicious:

Normally the person will come forward or someone will recognize those details: It may be harmless she may have been walking a friends dog, and spotted the girls who took interest in her dog, she then went home: We dont know All we must assume that given it has lead the News all week, and quite a bit has gone out around this, to not get Information with regards to that person in question is very suspicious.

The Interesting thing around an Abduction is One they will do it for money, but in the case of a child it is for many different reasons:
To sell to some rich person who cant have kids, to have a secret child locked away for no real reason, no child porn, selling them to some gang, or to eat:
In the case of some known Asian, and in deed Island nations eating humans or cannibalism, has been around for a while and in deed in some parts of the world still continues:

In some Chinese cultures eating small infants, babies, un born babies, and other friends children s is almost well is for them a Delicacy

During rough economic times who knows, recently an Island Family ate their Menace Dog:

The Police must continue to search and find this Mystery Lady walking her dog, who was said to have been talking to the girls earlier before the Abduction occurred of Aisling Symes.

Give it a go Attitude

I am about to take on a New Sales Role, Comm based selling a Technology product, web based system via phone sales:

A great Start up Company situated in one of AUT's Business Parks: Awesome:

My point on this Blog is there are a range of these jobs out there Comm Only based:
And for me during these rough times, No Money and No Job - Soon gets people motivated: You bet I am going to take this job, be serious about it and really give it a shot: I have to I need a job: I am not going to mope around saying I only want $18, - Right now in this time as my Reserve Cash starts to dry up I will work for Minimum wage right now, just to save and start building something.

This is a great opporutnity and I am lucky - I have been able to lose my job and find one that I will probably get - bearing in mind I havent got it yet: In about a week and a half: And before my Appointment with Winz -

I will go for this because it is the right thing to do: I dont want to wait and hope I get one of the other jobs I applied as they all expressed getting high volumes which is never very good.

I have still got my Police Application which I will hold off on sending but I probably will do at some stage I do get this job as this job can be a way to save some money, but also I dont want to do this for ever.

So I have stayed positive and I have kept up the Momentum stayed focused and really got out there and tried to get a job and the pro active attitude has gotten me some where which is good.

Government Medles in Maori TV Affairs

More has come to light on this story as I expected:

PM John Key has done some work here and there has been a new bid arrangement in place so that Maori TV can co-lease some of the coverage to TVNZ:

Now I dont think this is right the Government should not really be messing about in something so trivial as the coverage of the rugby world cup, Maori TV hasnt won the rights yet:

So it is plain and obvious that Maori TV will win:

So what gives the Government right to have a meddle: The only issue they have to stand on is that Maori TV cant yet offer 100% On a shitty Old Analogue System thats about to be shut down: But has 100% Penetration on the New Digital Network:

The Government has shut down any even possible thought of a hand in terms of subsidy or getting the new network off the ground and have an early switch off of the analogue network, giving developers to get that network up and running as cellular and data transmission.

The point I want to raise here though is we had Telecom and TVNZ: We sold Telecom and realized we didnt do a good deal, so we had to change the rules and Regulate the Market:

OK but the Broadcasting Industry is left un-Regulated and controlled by NZ on Air, TVNZ, Kordia, Can West, Te Mangai Paho, Te Puni Kokiri, Ministry of Broadcasting, Ministry of Information Technology and the PM:

So in one case they are about to rush into make Vodafone and Telecom do their bit, but when there own entities are playing games with each other they wont have a bar of it.

So the two main players are TVNZ, with TV One and TV2: The other Main player is Can West witch owns TV3 and C4 and also a number of radio stations throughout New Zealand such as the Edge, the rock and Classic Hits and Radio Live:

Technically TVNZ has the same Arrangement through Radio New Zealand as they to will report to the Minister:

So basically we have two main players have a huge Market Share of radio and tv content:

And when the one who knows nobody has their back tv3, just knows they cant compete with Maori TV and the money they have to play with:
Then PM John Key and Hon. Muarry Mc Cully decide that: Kiwi's will wonder why their flagship Broadcaster didnt get it, they will expect to have normal coverage on channel one.

Then PM John Key, goes hang on I dont think TVNZ will win their Bid I think Maori TV will win so he said" They will have to prove it was good use of public funds", All New Zealanders must be able to watch those important games.
So the PM is using the fact Maori TV cant get 100% coverage on the old network: and also used the Broadcasting Minister Hon. Jonathon Coleman said no to any kind of funding subsidy to free view. The PM has used to make Maori TV change its bid to allow it on sell some rights to TVNZ:

Commentators and Industry Experts dont paint a very good picture for Maori TV I think the best thing for them to do is try and get 100% Coverage and screw TVNZ, or if they have to wait til the last minute to ask: And try not to have them commentate, if they say no then say get stuffed and got to TV3 or Prime: And get a deal so that Maori TV has the whole feed: So that during the Game times, on that channel - you just see and hear what you would if you were watching Maori TV:

For Maori TV to make an impact and get a decent ROI they need to retain full control, and only lease out a feed, they wont get as much for it, perhaps nothing - but the other party could say the only other network with exclusive rights and coverage, and they could actually get something out of the language time etc: Using Sport and Rugby to get more New Zealanders to learn and understand some Maori.

There is more to come on this story

The Economy

I have a couple of points to raise on the Economy:

1.

The Tax Working group, IRD favors a Land Tax, Treasury favor any new Tax, either Land or a Capital Gains:

They spoke about a whole range of reasons: I dont care I am just sick to death of Property Developers owning multiple homes, claiming for taxes, driving prices up and down:

I dont think we need to punish people for their hard work, just that all people and there interests need to pay there way properly, to pay for what they use and consume:

I would prefer lower income taxes and higher consumption tax, or no or very little income tax, and you make it up on the consumer side, workers will need to pay insurnace, health and education fees: So it will be roughly the same, but more aligned to effect those who use the services: Fuel will rise so people will drive less, anyway thats getting into another days blog:

2.

The world was in shock as the NZD soared towards new territory on speculation about secret talks that have been taking place for a number of years now almost a decade, where Arab and OIL wealthy countries with the likes of China, Japan, EU and Russia have been in discussions to move away from using the USD to trade OIL, and using other means such as then Yen, Gold, Yuan, EU, and perhaps another Arab currency - maybe the Arabian Union.

Japan come from the meeting and said we still like the USD: The same PM who was newly elected after the now Opposition Party has run that country for the past several decades: The same PM who said we need to re check our situation with the USA, to the say the next day we love America:

hmmm:

America is worried and rightly so, its run as the worlds dominant super power has done more harm than good, and they havent really got anything out of it: If they to start losing huge chunks of business, such as these Oil States not using the USD to trade in, where they have something like 80% of International Reserves, to lose half or a quarter would be devastating.

Gold currently around 1050 - I can see going to 1200 - and even 2000 in years to come.

The Last thing to add is the Banks who fraud ed their way to not pay tax through a range of very complex tax avoidance schemes, will see the 4 major banks - Pay IRD over 2 billion in un paid taxes and fees:

This is shameless on the banks, who are the life blood of our economy, they control all our money and we are at their every whim, some more than others especially those with a mortgage:

About time we get the money back, in terms though of where we are at in the Recession, I would say some where between above ground and deep below hell:

Two World Wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, The Housing Bubble, Bear Sterns, Blue Chip and the 4 Major Banks its a little wonder anyone has anything left.

Internet new meeting posts:

I was having a chat with one of my neighbors the other day about getting a job as I am now looking for one: And he told me that he has always gotten all of his jobs at the local pub: talking to people having a few cold beers etc, spark up a conversation and he has him a job:

He doesnt have a job right now, and he cant use computers or the Internet:

I told him how I have sent my cv to many many job adverts that are on the Internet:

Then I began thinking about the topic and how times have changed: Pubs and church were once the main meeting grounds: Now its Face Book, Trade Me and Bebo:

Why go out when you can venture more of the world from the comfort of your home on PC: Heck have a virtual pint or larger, pass your mate a shot all on bebo and facebook.

The recession will push more and more to use the Internet in more ways, as we look for a way through the slow period.

Maori TV makes news again

The continued saga which is the Maori TV - Rugby World Cup Inc, Affair, again made the News today, A couple of interesting points have come about:

1. Maori TV seems as though have been pressured to change their bid, they spoke with Rugby World Cup and asked if they could change their bid which would allow they to on sell rights: A spokeswoman for Maori TV did confirm that they were originally going for Exclusive rights.

The other interesting point is the role that Associate Maori Affairs minister Mrs Te Heu Heu played, as there seemed to be some conflicting stories in terms of the events that took place, and what was exchanged in letters to both the PM and DPM.

The rest of the article went on about how, TV2 TV3 and sore losers, wont ant to have the Maori parts, will want there own commentators, it will destroy there brand, and just sub leasing the coverage in the so called black zones, or areas that cannot get reception will be impossible according to industry experts:

Maori TV should need to just win the bid, have the right to on sell, and look at their options from there: they cant win the rights and still have the other networks dictate the terms:

Maori TV in conjunction with the Communications and IT Ministry need to get full penetration to all of New Zealand, which is in line with the ambitions of the country as we turn to switch off the old network.

Maori TV saga continues

I reada couple of articles in the Herald with regard to the World Cup bid, put forward by Maori Tv with backing from TPK:

The first from a Herald writer, talking about how he thought it was great Maori TV were doing something, and that pretty much the other broadcasters are useless:

He also mentioned that Prime doesnt have full penetration and some people cant get one two or three either

He too also talked about how the Government can work with Maori TV to achieve full penetration, and even, he looked at the possibility of offering a subsidy for those who cannot get the terrestrial service, to pay for a free view satellite network.

He also talked about being able to cash in on early revenue as the Government will get funds for freeing up the old network and making it available for commercial use.

The other article I found interesting on the subject was that Pita Sharples Maori Affairs Minister, who OK'd the funding boost through TPK, said that he would apologize to PM John Key and DPM Bill English - the other Minister responsible for Maori TV for not keeping the Leaders fully in on the proposal and deal.

Fair enough now lets get into getting Maori TV into 100% of New Zealand and lets hurry up and switch off the old network.

Anyway not all of New Zealand will want to watch the All Blacks lose to South Africa.

Its Climate Change Now

I guess just like El Nino - we moved on to his sister, then her cousin: I am not sure what EL - Weather Pattern they are up to.

But what was Global Warming, at least down our ways, is transformed into Climate Change: This new term has taking on a whole new meaning to encompass and mean a whole lot of other things all brought in together:
Environment, Ecology, Weather, Resources, Pollution, Carbon Trading,

The two banners we have are Climate Change, and CTS - ETS - Carbon Trade, Emission Trade, Cap and Trade:

So while we go where is the global warming when it is freezing, why is it so cold such late in the year, why the freak snow so late in the year:

Climate Change is just a title to bring together more clearly all the factors that make up the environment in terms of its social impact and economic impact:

A Carbon Trading Scheme, is like the Economic Power House to put a dollar sign to manage these assets in monetary or economic terms so that we can understand the impact of our actions, if we put gas fumes etc into the atmosphere, because the atmosphere is unable to say hey you cant do that give me money the Government Must:

But Hey if you want to keep calling it Global Warming I dont mind I still Prefer Windows 2000 View. But Hey.

And Lastly just on Copanhagen coming up obviously very important, and New Zealand always takes all these events very seriously and no doubt this time will be no exception, we were in Japan for the Kyoto Talks, the real issue is Obama and what we can commit USA to do and then getting them to actually do it:

The real problem are India, China and USA, who all burn Coal for Power!

MTV must broadcast to 100% of NZ says PM

PM John Key has re enforced his stance and made very clear his view that first all New Zealanders must been able to and have full access to view the Rugby World Cup.

I think two things can happen here: either way works: For Maori TV to have full penetration 100% coverage during the Rugby World Cup, they will either have to get moving on installing new towers and converting the remaining 15% to Digital:

Or they can invest a small amount and have temporary coverage in place:

I would like for the current government to use this as a test, we have to get everyone off the old grid, and using Maori TV who needs to do it, and a help from part of the technology fund, to assist in getting to this target, which actually coincides with around the switch off to the new Digital Network.

There is much more to come on this story especially if Maori TV win the bid and I just think they might.

Israel must wait

Israel must wait their campaign to take control of parts of Irans Infrastrcture namely this countries claims of various access ways and resource pools and vast lands.

Anyway Israel must bite their time, the last time the West came through here telling tales of Weapons of Mass Destruction, it was George Bush ghost of Christmas past:

We got him and his is dealt to, but we ended up with a Proxy war with a bunch of No Mads, where we have Taleban and Al Qaeda, the later being some form of a Quasi State, Government, Parliament ??

And we still have no Weapons of Mass Destruction, or 25 Million Dollar Bin Laden.

Now the last time Israel went moaning to the rest of the world it was with Palestine whom apparently were throwing home made rockets at us which would be more a kindling to messing around with home fire works at best.

This so called crime gave them a breach in their sovereign rights and they reacted they extreme retaliation and literally rained hell on Palestine:

Israel have their greedy little hands all over Palestine, whom have had to resort smuggling all their resource through various line just because Israel will not allow any of their shipments.

So their previous cause have been iffy at best: Anyway Iran is not a Crazed out Junky Saddam Iraq or a help less Palestine, being chocked and Raped:

No this is Iran and they will answer any call to violence or breech towards their sovereign rights.

Tua Man

The Tua man was the other real story today, having three articles to him in the sports section, and I would have to agree with them, and reckon they more or less sum things up.

His Punishment he delivered to Cameron, has terminated said victims career hence fourth.
He also excludes any doubt I and many others had in His capabilities: And was the obvious better choice of the night. As many have noticed he did not work up a sweat: The diet worked great:

Cameron tried to just take it, I think himself, and Media drummed up the idea if you could go a distance with the Tua man you may tirer him out, but the real issue is weather not you are still coherent after going said distance:

The two more scandalous points are weather or not, the Ref should have let the match go for so long, and weather he was giving the punters a get their moneys worth:
Bit his count was dodgy at best, and his excuse was just that:

Any way Tua was holding back, the other real issue is the Deal with Maori TV, and Duco Events who is keen to do a deal with Tua, but he has 3 fights with Maori TV so who knows what will happen here but no doubt we will follow this story closely, But Tua should have another fight on or before about Dec 13

1000's miss out on Rugby World Cup

The Bottom story under the Samoa Tsunami Coverage, as bout how 1000's of people will miss out if Maori TV wins the rights to Broadcast the Rugby World Cup in NZ in a couple of years:

The two issues I find interesting in this Article are: Public Money backing Maori TV - and from Early Signs they are well ahead. - Is public funding a bad idea, C-SPAN, BBC, and other similar models are examples of great networks that are part of wholly publicially funded: There are good models TVNZ not being one of them: TVNZ is great dont get me wrong: Its just that when the Government wanted to start to throw its wait around and regulate the telecommunications industry a lose a great deal of money: They should have just regulated their own neck of the woods, Regulating TVNZ, getting rid of NZ on AIR, and merging it all into one with Kordia:

TVNZ would become one the Regulator which it seems to do best, and a smaller seperate network, tv one and tv two: Which would still bid through tvnz with all other networks.
TVNZ though would take on the roles as Netowk Provider, and Regulator through NZ on AIR, and Networks Company Kordia.

The other issue is they say that Maori TV is only available to only 85 %:
This shouldnt matter too much and has only been pointed out by NZ Herald, that this would just be a challenge more than a problem:
It will be a Government Problem anyway, is they move to switch off the old analogue network and moving onto the new digital platform which will consist of all viewers having to purchase SKY Digital, Free View, then soon Tivo: - The change is due soon, so it wont be an issue as Maori TV is available on all Digital Networks.

As for public money it is probably well spent as you will have good ratings etc: And it is good exposure for the Network: Rugby is quite intertwined in Maori culture and would be a common sport for much of Maori and those Views that would watch items from Maori Television.

Tim Pawlenty Launches Freedom First

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty launched his Freedom First PAC this week, and promises to be a big thing, investing a lot of time and money into new technologies and social media.

Tim is getting out on the Campaign trail, raising money, getting donors, and seeking good bright candidates to chuck the spotlight on and get Republicans back in the House and Senate over the Next coming months to 2010.

Republicans have suffered terrible losses at the last two elections, but the momentum is changing, the Democrats have been unable to bring any Bill through the House that is Representative of the people and that actually does anything worth mentioning.

Governor Pawlenty's problem this time round is Romney and Palin who are by each day cementing there number one and two spot. Both in terms of Money and Profile.

Pawlenty will sit a comfy number three spot and probably has the best chance as Obama would likely get two terms and even go as far as getting his boy into the white house and even seeing two terms: But definitely no more than that.

That is a long time to see a Republican out of the White House.

John Thule is coming in as the likely number four spot:

If Pawlenty can hang around and wait he will got a comfy number three spot, Romney is the most likely Republican choice, Palin will be the next choice after that. As long as he continues to raise funds and build on his profile: And know that each election he will get a higher slot.

Netanyahu - Tells Russia

Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu has revealed that he carried out Top Secret talks with Russian Pressident Dmitry Medvedev, and PM Vladamir Putin.

Netanyahu had a list of Russian Expert Scientists that Israel believe are helping Iran to develop Nuclear Weapons.

The Russian Scientists are Private Contractors, however Israel believe that they would still need Official Approval to do any work.

Other Intelligence have linked Russian Companies and also North Korea:

I would imagine there is no doubt that Iran is developing technology that will aid them in developing nuclear weaponry, but in their unique situation this is a must:
Iran will develop the technology to build Nuclear Power Plants:

They will also develop weapons, Iran has found a niche market for making high quality had weapons, pistols and rifles etc.
New Weapons will include lazer, tazer and very highly sophisticated cell weapons.

Long range missiles are good for launching satellites into space or weather balloons, probes and cameras etc

In 2020 Israel will have anywhere between 60-80 Nuclear Warheads:

Iran and Iraq in 2020 will have between 10-20:

Iran is needed to bring some stability in the area, by giving Iran more power you will leverage away some of the influence that Israel and emerging Iraq together will play.
As America flexes its influence in the area via these two proxy states.

Iran is only doing its duty by exploring these areas as it knows that its Hold on Oil will not last forever, Nuclear Technology is not cheap, and with these over reacted penalties placed on Iran by the Security Council is a Joke, :

The other Joke is that a Fmr Senator and Presidential Republican Nominee, Fred Thompson, the on again off again Senator/Actor (Lawyer NYPD Blue):

Bill's First Real turn

Bill English as Deputy PM had his first real turn as Acting PM these couple of weeks as PM John Key was in the US on Official and Ministerial Business. The opening of the General Assembly and Addressing the Assembly: Meetings with President Obama and other State Officials.

Ringing of the Stock Exchange Bell, and an Appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, jacked up by the Ministry of Tourism: - The PM read out 10 reasons why you should visit NZ - as prepared by Lettermen Staffers.

The PM and has family were reported to then have travelled on to Florida for a Family Holiday:

Meanwhile Tragedy unfolds as a massive Earth Quake erupts near Western Samoa: And a huge Tsunami Tidal Wave strikes the coast of Western Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga, wreaking huge damage and claiming many lives sweeping away many, many still lost: An Absolute Tragedy:
Alerts and warning were sent out, Hawaii was in action, and NZ was on Alert!

Cabinet and the Foreign Ministry were in response straight away, they were working on getting aid and what to do for the Islands, the Military was sent into response and crew and supplies began the Logistical process of getting loaded and shipped to the Islands via Navy and Air Force.

Cabinet kept the pressure on and maintained the flow of information: and also looked at what further they can do:

Result: 1 Million Cash up front to relieve the Effort in the Islands, direct to those Ministries in the Islands, and to NGO's such as Red Cross who are also in the area:

Australia sent off a Big Plane with lots of stuff and it was there super fast: Good for them that's great:

Little Old New Zealand got one of our old trusty Hercules there, and we had an Orion doing Re Con:
And we have one of our New Ships On Dock now waiting to go getting loaded, taking a Helicopter or two, with capacity for more:

Public Information has been pretty good, it was made well known early where you could donate to the effort: And $20 for most people isnt very hard, and although it might seem small if we all put in together we can help alot:

People are also able to donate items for Families who have lost everything.

So yip Mr English done well, NZ doesn't have Rapid response we are more Infrastructure, our focus needs to focus on doing the Mahi do it Properly no rush have all the right tools, equipment and support systems in place:

Australia has proved they can be first unit in, their can get emergency teams there fast, asses damage and give immediate relief: Where New Zealand is the second wave with the full back bone support systems:

So Cabinet and Acting PM English done well, they have out guys doing our thing in the back ground and we are deploying in the area, but we left the immediate reaction up to Aussie. and we sent Money which is more useful, I think if we build on this relationship we can know where we can fit in and compliment each other.

Rio 2016

Rio de Janeiro is to host the next World Olympic Games in 2016:

Thank God - The Significance here is that its Competition were a Favourite Chicago, who went out in the first round - a huge blow for Obama: The Tokyo, and it managed to stave off Madrid: Let me give you my quick analysis of these choices.

Chicago the City of Old, a Gangsta town: Is like an over sized Palmerston North, Obama had no show competing with the likes of these other cities.

Tokyo: Its like a busy and crowded little sess pool, so add a few billion more Olympic Tourist's and Athletes and you get the picture.

Madrid: They already had a Terror attack on a train, you may as well hand them to Osama himself.??

So yeah good one Rio, radiolive reported it is the First South American City to host the Games.

So I think its great, and will be a big boost to their Tourism Industry, with such rich heritage and culture it will be hard not to share that experience. The Scenery and atmosphere will be great.

My New Blog

This is my new Blog, I have recently lost my Job so to keep active, on the pulse and doing some self promotion I have created this blog - which I will Market through Face Book - Twitter and Google.

This Blog will be on-going, and I will cover many topics: From Science, Technology, Business and Politics. I will also have some themes, I will critique certain medias, and I will also try and get a various of different views and opinions from different people on my topics.

We will also have a strong interest in US Politics, and International Business.

I am a Neo Conservative, Neo Functionalist, I prefer small Government, and rather an economy that is smart and well run, with the right tax incentives in place that stimulate and encourage growth and investment.

I prefer lower income taxes, and slightly higher consumption taxes, and also insurance schemes for health and education. I am also keen for New Zealand to take on a more Independent role in terms of our Sovereign rights.

Self Promotion

In these rough economic times we can take a good hard look at our selves, we can start thinking about how we can best maximize the situation. We also need to consider our worth and we need to look to our future.

So what is the best way, Developing and Training, and Self Promotion: We need to be much more active in promoting our selves.

Are we just looking for jobs or a career, do we want to be working for a company; If we are going to train we may as well train what we want to and make it work for us:

So what can we do, we can start our own business, start a franchise, or promoting a business or service, using internet media and viral marketing.
Using Media such as facebook and youtube can be a good way for prospective employers or contracts get first impression of you.

Blogging is also good, but for many reasons - it can help to keep active as you create and form sentences.
